Kortina olive oil – Gregor Lisjak

Kortina Extra Virgin Olive Oil is named after producer’s largest olive grove, where we exclusively harvest olives and process them just a few hours after picking at their olive mill in Krkavče village. This premium olive oil is made from a blend of Buga, Maurino, Itrana and Leccino varieties, which yield the finest early-harvested olive oil. The oil is very fruity, with a fresh grassiness, a spicy touch of green almonds, and a slight artichoke aroma. Its taste is harmonious, beginning with sweetness that transitions into a well-balanced bitterness and spiciness. The vibrant green color gradually turns to gold as it matures. This high-polyphenol extra virgin olive oil is perfect for enhancing fish, seafood, shellfish and tender cuts of meat, with its strong fruitiness, medium bitterness and medium spiciness. Harvested at the beginning of October, the Kortina line offers a refined and robust flavor profile.
